hi I'am new to psi, well actually I have been investigating it for a couple of months. Anyway I really want to do some of the practices for it to just try it out.. but I got a bunch of annoying room mates who would definitely ask me what I'am doing and if I tell them they would think i'am a lunatic and I don't know about you guys but I don't think I could be quite comfortable living under the same roof with people who think i'am a nut. Anyone got any ideas how I could practice but avoid this.

Yes, but I'm too tired to think of all of them tonight. I will try to remember to post a list of some in a few days or see if DA will. I know she had a good list and may be able to find the thread where we discussed those.

Close your door, lock your door, tell them you're trying to sleep.

Practice somewhere else! You are not in your room all the time right? So spend some time practicing your Psionics...
It would be a little easier if we knew what is your situation, such as being in school or college.

Everything but PK/TK can be practiced with NO visual identifier. And even the bits that require visual identifiers (like certain stages of Cullen's energy manipulation guide), are innocuous enough. You shake out your hands and they ask, "Oh my hand just fell asleep." Odds are they won't ask. You close your eyes to concentrate. "I'm thinking". Though they're more likely to ask if you're falling asleep then 'hey you doing anything really weird?'
I'm not sure what the physical set up of your apartment/dorm is. If it's suit style just shut your door as Goliath suggests when you want to practice PK/TK. You're in college you said. You don't have to be specific. You can just say "Hey I"m working on something and don't want to be disturbed." Simple. There are ways to sound folk out on the topic. "Hey I saw this, what do you think about this sort of thing?" If you don't have a suit style area you'll likely have to wait for the TK/PK practice on times and days they're not likely to be in. You can also try practicing with a pencil not a psiwheel. They're likely to assume you're rolling it around yourself, or that it just 'accidentally' got jostled or some such. Most people look for normal every day explanations for things unless they're Really far out there and for the most part at the beginning stages you're not likely to be that extreme.
