My new years resolution was to get serious about psionics and start training and practicing regularly. After about 2 days I was not rusty anymore (makin' the ol'e basketballs again ;D) and yesterday I decided to try programming. First you need to know that when I manipulate psi, it used to be totally random but as I settled back in to the groove, my constructs are consistently cool to the touch and exert a sort of pushing feeling. Anyways, yesterday I ran out of time because of homework and tried to stick to my resolution as best I could and just do a really quick construct before bed. I spent maybe 45 seconds on it tops and it's only command was to hold it's form. Now, almost 20 hours later, it's still there. It's a lot weaker than before but it's still there and it's going to drive me nuts. I came home from school, did a (laborious) scan and I found it still where I put it. Unfortunately where I put it was right beside my bed and whenever I try to sit/lie down, I end up sticking my hand in a floating ball of cold air. Not really an inconvenience but understandable irritating. I tried to ignore it last night but now it's still there and I'm wondering exactly how long it's going to stay there? I hardly put any work into the damn think and I thoroughly expected it to last no more than two minutes. As an interesting note, there is also a small shaped dust outline around the area I put it but no dust in the middle. I feel it getting weaker but it's been 20 hours! Do they usually last this long and I expected too little? Did I underestimate the energy conservation these things have and I just overdid it? And most importantly, is there any way to get rid of this thing or do I just have to wait until it peters out?

It ideally should stay there until you tell it not too. Eventually the programming and energy will wear down without repair, but a well-made construct can last for quick a long time. This is an important thing or shields would get annoying to maintain Btw, good work in getting back to practicing

If you want to get rid of a construct, just get rid of it. Since you made it, unless you decided to put specific programming against it, you should be able to will it to disintergrate at any time. I sometimes build in a specific command to destruct the construct or a timer to make it easier to do this.

Same here, I can usually just will it away but for more elaborate constructs I also have a kill command.

Cool, i have an 'init 6' command or alt+SysRq+command key . (a joke for all those non existing linux geeks on this forum ) cbad, you havent put any programing that requires to spare energy... So why do you expect it to fall apart so quckly? True, eventualy it wears off. But that takes days for a simple construct (at least for me). Congrats on your 'went back to practice'! I hope you stay there for long . I usualy dont...

Last time I used a timer I messed up a bit, and my ball remained for 10 minutes instead of 3. Don't ask me why I placed it on the keyboard though! xD

If it annoys you sitting by your bed, just move it. If you want it gone just tell it to fall apart.
