I'm kind of new to creating psiballs, but I think I might be able to make one. Only with 2 hands though, so I kind of think its my imagination. I want to try making a psiball with no hands, but every time I try it I don't feel anything where I made it.
Is it harder to make psiballs with no hands? Also what should I visualize to create it? Thanks a lot, I just want to be sure I can make one because I know doubting my abilities will be my greatest downfall.

Technically its not any harder, but some may percieve to to be. It needs a slightly different visualization since the hand visualization usually involves pushing the energy out from the hands. To make one just in plain air you have to kinda "pop" the psiball into existence. Try to keep it floating there, while psi isn't effected by gravity, it will still fall if you expect that it will. So it's easy to make the psiball then drop it, which means that when you go to look for it, it won't be there.

Maybe you could try sending psi out of your chest area to a spot in front of you? Or for that matter, send the psi out of a part of your body that is close to the area you want to make the psiball. It would be just like using your hands, only your body will not be as close to the psiball as it would normally be when you make a psiball using your hands.
Want one over your head? Send the psi out of your head. Don't quote me on this, I'm only new to psionics too so this is purely theoretical.

I just picture it collecting in the area that I want the psiball to be created. It doesn't necessarily all come from one direction. I have not found it particularly more difficult, though it did take me a little while to build up my confidence in energy manipulation in order to consistently create psiballs anywhere. You might take a look at (I believe it is the second of) Cullen's Class logs. We talke a little about this in there. Yes, the post containing the logs is stickied at the top of either the General or BS sections. ~Wolf

It seems that people do TK and Energy Manipulation (psi balls particulary) with hands. I dont really know why, but it just works better for most people with hands.Though innerfire is right: it doesn't make it any harder!

One of the reasons people typically do better with psiballs (initially) while using their hands is actually quite simple: It's psychologically easier to picture something cohesive filling your hands. The hands are what we use to shape most anything in our world, therefore using them as a 'focal' point for shaping a psiball makes instinctive sense. If it helps, dgd. Picture 'mental hands' shaping the psiball at a distance from your body.

People make shields. It's a construct -- and so are psiballs. The only reason most people prefer making psiballs in their hands is to get a good feel of it. I usually make constructs that float around me. But I'd have to say that trying to "feel" them without touching them took some time. I got so used to having that magnetic, tingly, and pressurized feeling in my hands before that I had a hard time trying to detect my own constructs that I didn't touch.
