I remember having a dream years ago that went like this:
In my dream I wake up. The room is dark and I look to my window to see water running down the glass. I lay back down and wake up. The day after I had the dream, I woke up to the same scene that I say in my dream. It was raining. My mom was a little freaked out because I told her about the dream I had.
About 4 months ago I had another dream that didn't last as long as the first. All I remember is seeing my father talking to me by our front door. It looked as though someone pushed the mute button because I couldn't hear anything. Also everything around him was blurry except a oval from his head to his chest. The only thing I did hear him say was "Because there's gonna be a black-out". I wake up and call my cousin to talk to him. He starts the sentence with "Guess what man?, we had a black-out early this morning!" I screamed and said "Are you serious!?", he replied "Yeah, why?". I told him about my dream and he freaked out. I then called my dad to tell him what "He" told me in my dream. He sounded a little thrown off and called me a freak but quickly regained his sense of humor and laughed.
The question is, is this something that I can control with practice?. Should I write them down in a journal?. How will I know what will happen and what won't?. How will I remember every dream I have?.
Input would be greatly appreciated.

I am a bit confused... You have dreams of what is going to happen or is happening?
Dreams are not my department... (more like department of mystries ;D)

Yes. I had two dreams that actually happened. I was wondering should I just ignore it or try to cultivate it. If I have it why not use it right?

Yea definitely record dreams, although I'm not sure you can train this really, but keeping a journal is good to keep track of how many of these you're getting right.

Yep dream journals are fantastic things. They help you to remember the dream details, and are there to look back on to check details. They also help with dream recall in general. Write them all down (often helps to do this right after waking up to get the most detail possible). I find that precog type dreams often seem to have a different "quality" them. If you are having precog dreams and you write them down, might find you can start to pick something about them that will help you recognise what may be a precog dream in the future.

Dream recal? Thats not an everyday psionic term. Isnt this one of the very basic magic startout practices? If its just precog. in this way, then i guess it is alright. But deliberetly forcing them and try to remember them is a little off Psionics in my opinion.

I just meant remembering what you dreamed by "dream recall" that's all There's nothing more "magickal" about remembering your dreams than anything else. Actually its not strictly psionic either, more of a means to an end if you want to remember dreams that potentially contain precognition. Dream precog's not that uncommon in the scheme of things from the sounds of it. Can be classified under psionics as precognition in my oppinion, (or at least that's how I've experienced it)

Confuded, it's not magick. Dreams are one of the more common venues for precogntion. I know I've mentioned my own precognitive dreams repeatedly. Remembering your dreams, as Jaci said is just that... an act of memory. There is nothing really supernatural about remembering a dream, even if the dream is precognative in nature. I've actually started to write down my observations on psionics, though where I am I'm going to have to probably come up with a personal short hand/encryption.
Psi-Fi it should be easier for you. Write it down then don't tell anyone about the dreams since your family seems to be rather freaked out by it. At least not unless you can pass it off as 'one of life's wierd coincidences'. Then it becomes just a cool story as far as most people are concerned.

I will do that. As far as my parents are concerned, they play around and stuff when I say something or mention something I called an "Empath Moment" (Off-Topic) but I think they are starting to really believe what I say. When they add up most of the things i've done over the years without actually knowing that I've done it, it's hard for them to write it off.

If you know a language, which most people around you dont, you can use it! I know Rusian for example. DA, dont you know Spanish? OK, ok, ok... You have changed my point of view . Precognition dreams are used in magick, but arent magick... Thanks for not being or seeming to be harsh. Particulary you DA . Ah... empathy and text... or just perception and text... Ooops! Not random thoughts thread...
