Well let me explain how I attempt to perform telekinesis, and fail of course.
I stare at the object and focus on it until I can see it surrounded in some kinda of haze which actually looks more like static only it's purples and blues opposed to grays and whites. The static isn't actually there of course but I see it through my own eyes as if it is. So perhaps it is there and only I can see it seeing as no one else looks and goes "Hey what's that freaky stuff around the door!" (Yes I've tried on open doors.)
Anyways, if I focus hard enough the object will appear to increase in size and I will often feel rather strange sensations which usually mimic the texture of the object, for instance if it's the door's handle then I usually feel a more cold and smooth feeling in my hand opposed to the usually rougher or I guess bumpier wood surface. If it's a book which have also been attempted I can imagine the cover of the book as well as the many grooves of the pages as if I'm just flipping quickly through them with my thumb or simply feeling along that portion of the book.
So, whatever it is I can feel it or rather recall what it felt like when I last touched it. I can also recall sounds it can make depending on what happens to it like the sound the pages make when flipped or the door makes while it closes or slams. Then I can see myself interacting with the object to make it do what I want it to do, if I want to move it I simply see myself move it along with hearing the sounds that go with it and feeling the object even though I haven't touched it yet. After that, I take myself out of the equation while still letting the object move and sometimes I could swear that I actually see it move through my eyes but when I focus in on it since my eyes usually are not looking at it by this point it would be just as I left it.
So I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong and in an attempt to answer this on my own, I have brought up the following theories as to why.
1) I'm actually moving the object then moving it back without knowing it by the time I focus in on it.
2.) I'm trying too hard and my mind plays tricks on me by showing the desired result through my vision (which usually break my concentration as well.) which in turn causes me to fail simply because I quit too soon.
3.) When I see the object move in my mind and feel it move, the ability to experience that with my senses makes it appear as if the object has moved because I'm only perceiving it differently thus effectively deluding myself.
4.) The intense focus brings about a light trance from which I cause myself to see movement because of how badly I want it to do so.
Anyways, sorry if I put in any duplicate theories, and for grammar if that needs work as well. Feel free to add your own theories, facts, or simply disprove mine. As long as the information is helpful in some way.
