Hi since I'm getting back into making constructs I have to kinda figure out shelling again either my ability to scan really sucks or my shells are horrible right now. So while I try to figure out my problems I Decided to see what other people do for shelling and see if other visualizations ,verbal or any other techniques for programming psi work better for me. edit= any1 know of any substitutes instead of using a partner? mostly because I don't really know any who would help me practice O.o hmm a construct that can help you learn would be cool, though too bad the person would have to be good at scanning to use it

Well, what I do is imagine a shell of metal forming around it and then I imagine some arrows coming at it and as soon as they hit it, they bend forward and fly back to were they came from, then I imagine a bullet bouncing off of it. Hope this helps

edit= any1 know of any substitutes instead of using a partner? mostly because I don't really know any who would help me practice O.o There is no real substitute for using a partner unless you are good at scanning (or at least can scan). As I am not good at scanning, I have asked the question if I can practice scanning without a partner. I've been given a good suggestion on the forums before (cannot remember which post): scan a room before you enter it and count how many people are in there or going a bit more advanced you can scan the room for objects or general outline (not quite sure that fits the general scanning criteria). As for shelling, I did not have this problem... Maybe you should try and focus on sustaining your constructs instead of shelling them... ~confuded
