This photo was taken by my good friend keipher last night (December 4th 2008) at 8:45PM in my living room. I drained my whole body for an energy source and when done I wanted nothing more than a nap. it took me about 30mins. any questions I will be happy to answer. PS: Might wanna get a clean pair of pants before you look at this beastly psiball.

You must be a pretty fast picture taker, considering a flare is (usually) one burst of energy, and considering the speed at which light travels... If this is legit, I congratulate you

I concur with goliath, though I wouldn't go so far as to call it 'unbelievable.' ~The Devil's Advocate

I thank you for the props. Yeah i know about flaring and how its short burts and all that, This was ALOT of energy. My mother of whom does energy work (she waited 15 years before telling me ) said shes never seen/felt so much energy. To be honest, it was a fluke, couldn't do it on purpose. friend took the pic about 20 seconds before flaring i told him, he took a multi-shot (like 20 pics in 5 seconds) and that was the golden pic. Like i've said before, It'd be an honor if it got on the media section of the site haha have a good y'all

That will explain why the quality is so bad... Also, it will be... well, better, if you would provide the original pic with (which contains metadata of the camera etc.). Sorry! Nothing personal, nor am I a skeptic, it's just hard to trust people when it is so easy to fake a flare. I would like to also note that the center of the flared psi ball seems to be not perfectly circulair, rather oval... Which proves it a tiny bit more . ~confuded

it came off my cell phone. You can look at it in a hex editor or some kind of byte viewer/editor. It has only been from my cell to my email to my photobucket. I don't have a USB cord for my phone, although i wish i did, but getroPCS over charges for them, so things can come off the phone, but nothing can upload to it. otherwise id be very happy to upload that information

Dude, I'm skeptic and I was more there more than anyone, I don't blame you at all. I know it will pass the test. when I get my home PC fixed I'll be hosting some flare parties (psionline along with other psi community sites) where I will stream my webcam for one or two hundred people on one construct, see how that flys.

Looks pretty legit.
What kind of camera phone did you use?

I just downloaded the image and checked out the EXIF of the jpeg file. It was taken by a 1.3 megapixel Motorola camera phone with an exposure timer set to 1/21 sec. It was taken on December 4, 2008 at 4:55 am (so early in the morning...). Apparently, the picture hasn't been through Photoshop or hasn't undergone any sort of tampering.

Yeah I looked at it too, I wanted the exact model and see if what he says lines up with the info in the exif data (for example, if he had have said, "I think it was a sony" I would have deemed the photo as fake. Plus, I have a motorola phone and was wondering the exact model ;D ). And it's really easy to delete a tag on the exif data. However, the photo does look pretty legit, especially compared to most that I've seen. Still, I'm slightly skeptical of the light source...

Thank you, it was taken with my moms razor Motorola phone. the "burst" lasted about 3 seconds and was red glitter (normal blurry red, you know) before THAT happened. She sent the pic to me via picture messege and the first thing i thought was "OH!!! NEW BACKGROUND!!!" then i was like "no way anyone's going to believe this". and as for the 5AM thing i was like "wtf". it was around 8ish and i had my best friends and my uncle (you know that one guy that you wish was there, he was! ) and my mom got the picture.
