I decided to get remote presence a try based on the seminar on PsiPog. As I tried it, I was actually looking into a mirror and then closed my eyes and imagined the reflection turning into a ghost and walking through me.
But when I got to the "through me" part I couldn't get any further. It just felt like my shins gained weight, someone was breathing over me, and like my consciousness was on the verge of leaving the body, but nothing; it was almost hard to describe how it felt. I tried to move past my body, constantly, but I couldn't, like there was some mental block. Afterward I stopped and looked at my hands; they usually lose color and become pigmented and cold after using Psi, but they were bright red and felt hot.
So... any tips? Any ideas what's going wrong?

I have a relatively low opinion of the concept of Remote Presence... now I will caveat by saying I differentiate between Remote Presence and Remote Viewing. The former, to me, seems to be more closely related to OBE and Astral Projection, with all the fun nastiness associated with those. I may be wrong in that impression of what is being done with "Remote Presence," But I wanted it to be clear what I was talking about when I use these terms. It is my understanding that in Remote Presence you are actually 'there' in some respect, though not as thoroughly divorced from your body as you are during OBE and AP. Remote Viewing and other versions of Claresentience
My recommendation would be to try Remote Viewing instead. Though it can be hard to set up situations where you can practice and judge how accurately you practice. Especially without violating privacy. I know for ME I've gotten to the point I can 'see' areas I scan, though Remote Viewing is neither something that comes as naturally to me as Empathy, nor something I've practiced near as much as even Telepathy, so this is a suggestion NOT hard and fast.
If you want to practice a little, right before you enter a room... take a few moments to see if you can 'see' into it, and make either mental or physical notes of key things you 'saw'. See what matches when you step in. I use a varient on this every now and again to check and see if there are people in a room, though for THAT I use Empathy. It's also easier for me to 'follow' a scan or an Empathic contact if I want to 'look', but I don't know what bearing that will have on your practices, unfortunately. And I'd STRONGLY recommend not using this to look in on specific people without their permission, any more than you'd look in through their window without permission.

DA, i think the difference between Remote Presence and Remote Viewing are only slight... mostly with the viewing being more of a picture/movie, and the presence including possibly sounds/smells, etc. RV sounds like a good starter to RP though, if you're not going anywhere.

I've had Remote Presence explained to me as kind of a 'real world' AP. What you are calling Remote presence was what was defined to me (when I was first getting started in sorting out that the stuff I'd been doing actually had a name) as Clairsentience.
I am not arguing that anyone else should change, but what seems, to you to be the more common usage of the term? Unfortunately there's no real standardized terminology!

I think that both of our definitions fit remote presence, but i'm pretty sure that it doesnt go into another plane, so its pretty safe. I've never heard clairsentience before, but it doesnt seem to fit the structure of how the terms are formed.

I agree. I have hear both perspectives on the definition of Remote Presence, so it is good to clarify the first time you use it in a post.
