Yeah, I was kinda staying out of Lancefighter's and DA's debate. One being the posts were extremely long and I hadn't that much time on my hands and two being that I kinda got lost... and was too late to jump in anyway...

Have you any comments on Neveza's suggestion?

I actually think that you could logically look at it that way. When comparing energy:focus, it is quite possible that it would take more focus than it would take energy. Again, when you think about what you're doing with flaring, as we discussed before, it's something along the lines of making the energy into the visible spectrum, (although exactly what happens isn't fully known), it wouldn't take as much psi energy because you already have the energy, but more likely than not, a skill being used in psionics requires focus. In the case of flaring where it's uncommon, I'd say it would take a sufficient amount of focus.
Though I'm not big on the "you can do anything with enough focus" theory, in this case focus might actually do the trick.

1) A great deal of energy is relative. Assuming that energy does not only come from oneself, it is possible that a more practiced psion could make several battery constructs and use them to fuel the flare.
3) If shields take so much energy to run, why do so many psions have permanent ones? I say that the "great amount of energy" involved is very relative to who's making the shield. The more practiced psions have no problem making and holding a shield, for a beginner, it's nearly impossible.
Those may sound repetitive, but they are addressing the same idea twice, so perhaps they are.

This thread was dead. Leave it so, Mad Hatter. You didn't add enough to the conversation to justify resurecting a thread that was over FOUR MONTHS DEAD. If you really, really, really want to debate this, start a new thread.

Oh, I was unaware, sorry. I just checked this place again after not having done so for a while and this thread caught my attention, but if it's been dead for that long, my apologies.

There's a date under the title of each post. It will help you avoid such things in the future.

Understood Mad Hatter. The statements you made are relevent, but should probably be discussed in a different thread as I'm afraid it is likely to tangent away from flaring and into maintenance of constructs and other uses of the methods you mention. Or it could go into a debate of perspecitives and probabilities of application.
