An abstract of one of my exercises gone wrong from my journal. What do you guys think? This is my "personal experience".
The human body contains the brain, the central nervous system, the periphial nervous system, and the or autonomic nervous system(ANS). I belive nervous or bioelectric energy is diverted and rechanneled from their primary purpose to alter the environment outside of the body. While experimenting with macro psychokinesis, I was attempting to create a change in a table. Whenever I do things like this, I always project my consciousness on my stream of energy, so to speak. A friend of mine noticed that my heartbeat became erratic and I had stopped breathing altogether. Breathing is an unconscious function handled by the ANS, but why did it begin to act strange. Doing some research I found that I was tapping into the bioelectric energy of my ANS. If the bioelectric energy is not present ( in adequate amount) within that certain nerve function, the nervous function falters. In the case of anything this would be hazardous. Humans literally run off of nervous energy.

What you're describing is very much akin to what I frequenty hear when people describe out of body experiences. (Usually they don't have a friend there to go 'um you stopped breathing... this was bad' so they keep DOING it.) Offering this as something to consider as you analyse your own experiences. (If you think this is bad. You should see what I do to my OWN theories. ) ~The Devil's Advocate

So DA, to put it simply, they gain that OBE feeling because of a "near death experience" due to losing consciousness? Bah. Seems like OBE can be induced by covering someone's mouth and nose and putting them to sleep. ROFL.
If that's the case, then I'd rather drink and be drunk. At least it's safer than trying to kill yourself. Well, it's not that I endorse being drinking as something safe.

I am not trying to sound overly dramatic or anything, but heavy duty psionics is very dangerous. You are pushing literally your mind and body to its breaking limit sometimes. You can suffer all types of problems and even die.

Symphonyx, no. I'm saying the reactions are similar. I'm more inclined to say that this may be because of the strain OBE places on the body. The sarcasm is not appreciated.
On Rayn and Inner Fire's replies to Symphonyx: Ditto.
