My favorite sheild is probably the absorbtion sheild. With a construct that repairs holes in the sheild. I dont know why I like it. Probably because it utilizes many of the powers I need in my daily life.

What causes the holes in it? Is it the way the shield is set up for absorbing? or is it a result of other factors? ~Wolfdancer, the curious

Also might want to add a few safety features, Iluveire. That's a REALLY good way to get slammed by 'virus' constructs. Some of them can be very subtle. Simple way is before it 'attaches' to a construct to have it strip the construct it's absorbing of all programing and just flush the programing.

Wolfdancer: Empathetic/telpathic 'spikes' Can rip a hole in it. I just need to work on thickening my sheilds. They tend to be quite flimsy.
Devil's Advocate: Good idea. I never thought about virus consructs...

OK. I can understand that though I'm more used to them being a problem in other shield styles than those programmed for absorption. You may want to find someone to brainstorm with on ways of improving your shields. I've found this immensely helpful.

I like using mirror shields. They are easy to make and effective. My 9 year old cousin did it on his first try!

Could you explain how did he do that for me?

My favorite shield is a mirror shield. It's like if someone tries to scan me or do a telepathic reading it reflects like a mirror and instead scaning me the person scans her/him self . Pretty simple. Most common is a basic bubble shield. Absorb all harmful unwanted things and by absorbing converting into energy and using it for regeniration. Also its programed to regenirate itself (not from any living being do, only from like air and earth). Oh and ofcourse programed to stay up all time long until i take it down. I dont have much problems with Empathy so have no Empathy shields. P.S. The reason i have no Empathy problems , because i am really bad at it nad not sesetive enough to have any problems.

I think there is a shielding article in the article's section. Stony's on a basic bubble, and a slightly more advanced. My issue with JUST having a mirror shield is that it is rather counter productive empathically. An angry person just gets angrier which creates a very ugly feedback loop. If I do a reflective shield I usually do a dispersion shield: that is a shield where the incoming problem is diverted away, but not straight back. It is usually ‘broken up’ and scattered so it doesn’t go to any one location with enough intensity to actually impact anyone.

You make a good point. I am working on tweeking my knowledge of shields. The ones I use are effective and functional, but a few flaws have been pointed out to me about the whole system which means adding some new dimensions. Gack! Just when I thought I had it all figured out, someone....had to point out that I needed more. Now to learning new techniques--*raises glass in a toast*

I think i didnt explain myself correct. I dont tell my shield anything about Empathy, thus the shield does not deal with it. I mean that the mirror shield reflects the things that an atacker or a mad frien sends. For example: somebody is mad at you and he makes a construct that gives you a massive headache, so it goes right back to him and he will learn his lesson .

What does the first King to unite all the Hawaiian Islands have to do with the topic? (ie Kamehameha.)
I usually know who attacks me. They next to always know me, in the case of actual people, but this is a shielding topic not a 'figuring out who just gave you the million dollar migrain.'

(Kamehameha is a different story here....) But how do I know what's the right shield for the right defense?
